Take Advantage of a $40K Match Towards Operations!

We are thrilled to announce that the education center is well on its way to becoming a reality!

We have already received a generous donation of $15,000 from one donor as well as laptops from Compassion International, and support for the furniture from the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast to kickstart the Matoso Education and Empowerment Center initiative! We’re also setting up a partnership with gold Youth to help empower young people in the community!

However, we still need an additional $40,000 to bring this transformative project to life.

To ensure that our existing programs remain robust, we have set up a special matching donation campaign. Thanks to the incredible support of another benefactor, every dollar donated towards our $40,000 goal for the Education Center will be matched with an equal amount contributed to our general fund. This means your donation not only helps build new opportunities but also supports Lalmba’s ongoing efforts to provide essential services to those in need.

Your support can make a double impact. Please consider donating today to help us reach our goal and make the Matoso Education and Empowerment Center a reality. Together, we can create a lasting legacy of education and empowerment for the Matoso community.

Thank you for your generosity and commitment to making a difference!

Matoso Education and Empowerment Center

In rural communities like Matoso, Kenya, access to quality education and essential resources is severely limited, posing significant barriers to personal and community development. These communities face multiple challenges:

  1. Low Literacy Rates: Many children and adults lack access to basic educational opportunities, resulting in low literacy levels that hinder their ability to improve their socio-economic status.

  2. Economic Hardships: Without the skills and knowledge necessary for economic self-sufficiency, community members struggle to break the cycle of poverty, leading to persistent economic hardships and limited job opportunities.

  3. Health Education Deficiencies: The lack of comprehensive health education resources exacerbates public health issues, as community members do not have access to the information needed to make informed health decisions and practices.

  4. Technological Gap: In an increasingly digital world, the absence of modern technology and digital literacy further marginalizes the community, preventing them from accessing online educational resources and opportunities that could significantly improve their lives.

  5. Youth Disempowerment: Young people in Matoso are particularly vulnerable to negative influences and lack the guidance and support necessary to pursue positive paths, leading to issues such as depression and susceptibility to adverse social behaviors.

At the heart of our vision is the belief that education is the key to empowerment. The Matoso Education and Empowerment Center will equip community members with the skills and knowledge needed to break the cycle of poverty and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
